Three spring clothing trends anyone can execute from their existing closet.

This spring we want to go out and have as much (safe) fun as we can after being home for what felt like seven years. To make the time outside worth it, we are definitely making sure you are feeling good in your clothes. So here are spring trends that are effortless to get into, and can most likely be executed with what’s already in your wardrobe. We also shared them on our recent segment with CTV Your Morning, if you missed it you can watch it on their website here.

Florals

Florals are back and it feels like they never left because they are probably still somewhere in your closet just waiting to be loved this spring. If you find th3em a little loud, pairing them with a solid layering piece will tone down the look.

Get the look: In our suggested styling, Amanda is wearing a black and white floral maxi from Marshalls with the Poppy trench from nobis for added protection from the spring weather. A pair of navy sneakers from Capo Salerno for walking comfort and our essential spring accessory for this look is a rose leather backpack from Marshalls.

Graphic Tees

Graphic Tees are perfect for when you aren’t quite ready to let go of your sweat life but still want to step your casual look up a notchy. This trend is not only gender-neutral trend but so easy it might become your spring-summer uniform. Let’s face it, graphic tees are another way you can express yourself with a wide range of possibilities from your favorite band, quotes to art, and everything in between.

Get The Look: On Jermaine, we paired the graphic tee (Uniqlo) to a neutral-colored short (Capo Salerno) and white sneakers (marshals). For any weather eventualities, a windbreaker (Uniqlo) is perfect for spring protection with shoe protectors (Sillies) and a tote ( Bugatti ) incase you need to carry a few things around for your day.

Overalls

Think onesie but outside and spring, what do you get? Overalls! If you love rompers, shortalls or any one-unit clothing then you will be happy to hear that all the above are going to be very big items this spring. Overalls are so easy to style, we’ll show you just how!

Get The Look: For Amanda’s shortalls from The Gap, we added a graphic tee from Uniqlo and a pair of color-blocked chunky sneakers from Marshalls with a trendy Spring accessory in the form of a Silk Scarf from Winners. Because you probably haven’t worn jewelry in a long time why not add a necklace like this one from Canadian Designer Robert K E Mitchell.

With the uncertainty of the pandemic rules, we get that some may be reluctant to go out shopping, not really knowing where you will wear all the new clothes. But since every day is an occasion to dress up, why not balance that with a Virtual Style Session. Let’s help you shop your closet. All that means is give you some styling help with what you already have, then help you (thoughtfully) decide what you need to actually buy.
