Take Your Swimwear Beyond The Beach/Pool With These Stylish Looks
Around here, clothing is not truly categorized. Meaning what something is marketed as is not exclusively how we style it. Well made clothing comes with a price tag so why limit where you wear it. That’s why we were so excited to share with The Social, how to style style everyday swimwear to inspire you to take it into your everyday social life. We hope this inspires you to get creative with your bathing suits.
Candice - Brunch
Spotting swimwear and kimono from Pennington’s, Canada’s premier destination for plus size clothing sizes 12 - 32, Candace is styled vibrantly in a print-on-print moment for the pool. To take her beyond the pool, we are keeping the swim crop top and layering it over a classic white oxford and giving her a comfortable confident look while layering for cool patio brunch.

Diane - Dinner
Print bathing suits are always fun and a great way to show personality in your pool/beach style especially when most people typically opt for solid-colored swim. Keeping the same personality and energy off the beach, we paired Diane’s one piece with a shimmer wide leg capri from Winners, the ultimate home of designer brands for less and because the bathing suit back is open a crisp white blazer from Canadian brand, Capo Salerno makes the look fit for dinner.
At the Pool:
Evelon High Neck Swimsuit, $114, Ted Baker
Jitney Espadrille Platform Wedge Sandal, $89, Steve Madden
If you love bikinis you will love what we did with this look. The comfortability of a bikini is largely due to how it is designed and the material it is made from. For Alex we went with Prairie Swim, a Canadian luxe brand focused on sustainably designed swimwear mixing classic styles and sizes to ensure a perfect fit and comfort for every body shape. At the pool/ beach more often than not when it comes to bikini fashion, most people opt for a cover-up, which we sometimes do too. But an alternative is a trip to the men’s department for comfy shorts like these Sponge Bob inspired pair on Alex from H&M.
At the Beach:
PROVENCE BIKINI TOP - WHITE, $106, Prairie Swim
ASPEN BIKINI BOTTOM - WHITE, $94, Prairie Swim
Relaxed Fit Swearshorts, $34.99, H&M
SKEENA SANDAL, $49.98, The Shoe Company
Why wear a simple coverup when you can wear a shimmering cover up! Over a candy cane swim suit, that’s exactly how you are showing up to your next pool party. If you love stripes then take your bathing suit to a different kind of party and pair it with a vibrant summer skirt. Not forgetting a layer incase it gets cooler later.
